John 4:26

Praise the Lord! Today's verse is from John 4, 26.

Jesus said to her I, who speak to you, am he? Jesus declares himself to be the Messiah to this Samaritan woman. In John 9th chapter, we see Jesus revealing himself to that blind man who was healed by Jesus. And Jesus said, do you believe in the son of man and he answered, and who is he, so that I may believe in him, and Jesus said to him, you have seen him, and it is he who is speaking to you.

Jesus did not show himself or declare himself to be the Messiah to the religious leaders, but to the poor people to the Blind and to the Samaritan woman, he declared "I am the Messiah". I am the son of man. It is the another word spoken about him, Told about Messiah, the son of man.

But Peter knew that Jesus was the Messiah because he lived with him. Here we see in Matthew 16th chapter Verses 13 onward. Jesus asked the disciple who does people say that the son of man is?  They answered that they said different things, but again, he spoke to his disciples and said, but who do you say that I am? And Simon, Peter, replied, you are Christ or the Messiah, the son of the Living God. In Luke 5th chapter, we see the calling of the disciple Peter. Here, we see that Jesus came to the lake. Where the people were gathered, and he asked. Peter to put the boat a little into the sea. And there he stood from there and preached to the people after he has finished speaking, he said  to Simon put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch. And Simon, Peter said  "Master, We have toiled all night and took nothing, but as your word, I will let down the Nets.

Here, we see that. Peter obeyed Jesus when He said at your world, we are going to let down the net, and what did he see? And when they have done this, they enclosed a large number of fish and the Nets were breaking they signaled to the partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both the boats so that they began to sink. Then, Peter says to Jesus. Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, oh Lord. For he and all they with him, where astonished at the catch of the fish they had taken. And Jesus said, do not be afraid from now on, you will be catching men. Here we see how Peter came to Jesus.

He knew that he was a sinful man, and he submitted himself to Christ, and he started to follow Jesus on that day.

Prayer

Let us pray, Heavenly Father. I thank you. That you revealed yourself to your people. The same way revealed to us Lord that you are the Christ. We commit ourselves into your hands in Jesus name, I pray.

Amen. God bless you.
