John 4:19

Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 4, 19. 

So I perceive that you are a prophet. This verse, we see the belief of Samaritans about the Messiah. Samaritan accepted only the first five books of the Bible that did not accept the historical books or the wisdom books and the prophetical books.

They derived their interpretation of the Messiah from. Deuteronomy 18, 15, which says the Lord, thy God, will rise up unto you, a prophet from the midst of you of thy Brethren, like unto me and him you shall listen

 This search, definitely referring to the Messiah. They did not understand the Incarnation that believed that the Messiah would be a Samaritan.

The Samaritans were looking for a prophet who would be a mere man. And the Jews were looking for the Messiah who they were thinking as the king, but it was a wrong type of King. They were looking for a king who would deliver them from the Roman Empire. The Samaritans, as they did not believe in the books or from Joshua to Malachi. They did not believe Jesus as the descendant of David. They did not believe in the Virgin birth of Messiah, and in effect, be the Son of God. Both the thinking of the Jews as the Messiah as a king and the Samaritan has just a prophet were wrong.

The Samaritan woman addresses Jesus as a prophet. She thinks in a heart that he must be the long awaited Messiah promised by Moses. Today. Also, our understanding about Jesus is very important. Do you know him as your savior, the son of God, the God himself who takes away our sins?

Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 4th chapter and verses one and two. We are studying from the fourth chapter of John from today. Now when Jesus learned that the Pharisees have heard that Jesus was baptizing more disciples than John, although Jesus himself did not baptize but only his disciples. In this verse we again see about baptism Jesus and his disciples along with John was baptizing in the same place. It is not written whether Jesus and his disciples followed the baptism of John. And they said 'unto John's baptism' . MY TESTIMONY

Maria and I were married on 29th July 1981. In 1982 My colleague in Mico called me for a prayer meeting in which I accepted Jesus as my personal savior this changed my life . I was born again I began to trust God for all things in my life. The first tragedy struck us when Maria was diagnosed with a heart problem in 1986. At that time, Mr. Dorairaj told us to seek God's help and so we went to his house for prayer. When we went for prayer pastor said that God has already healed her as we had come in faith expecting a miracle. We did the Cardiac Catheterization test at Sindi Hospital and she was found to be perfectly fine, God gave her a lease of life. In 1987, Danny was born despite the fact that the doctors had told us there would be complications during childbirth, but by God's grace, Maria had a normal delivery.
