This is saying to the woman, go call your husband and come here, made her to think about her past life and a moral life. God has given every person a conscience to convict him when he sins. But if we excuse our sin and keep doing the same sin, our conscience no longer convicts us of that sin. The parable of the prodigal son. We see that he took his father's possession and went and lived a reckless life, but when a famine came in his life, the situation of his life convicted him. Jesus spoke to her about the Living Water.
