John 4:10


Praise the Lord. Today's verse is John 4, 10, Jesus answered her. If you knew the gift of God, And who it is that is saying to you give me a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living Waters. 
Hallelujah. What is the gift of God to men?
It is the salvation of our soul by which we have the eternal life. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
 This gift is a free gift to us, but for Jesus, he had to pay a costly prize.
First Peter, 1 18, and 19 says, knowing that you were ramsomed from the futile way inherited from your fathers, not with perishable things, such as silver or gold. But with the precious Blood of Christ like that of a lamb without blemish. 
Jesus is saying to the woman if you knew who it is, that is saying to you to give me a drink.
At that time, she did not know who Jesus was though, later she knew. In John 1 1, it says, in the beginning of the word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And 14th verse it says, and the word became flesh and dwelt among Us, Jesus was God himself.
The woman did not know that she was speaking to God the Messiah. Jesus was saying to the woman if you know who it is, that he is asking to you "give me a drink". At that time. She did not know who Jesus was though later she knew. John 1 1 says, in the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the Word was God and verse 14 says, and the Word became flesh and dwelt among Us. Jesus was God himself. The woman did not know that she was speaking to the Messiah, the God himself. 
Living Water means the new life that Jesus brings. It includes the new birth. John 3:3 eternal life, John 3:16 and the Holy Spirit to live in our hearts In John 7 37-39.
We can have this salvation by asking the Lord Jesus for it. In fact the only one who can give it to us.
 In the Old Testament. Also water is used as a symbol of spiritual life, Isaiah 55:1, Jeremiah 2:13 and 17:13.
Prayer 
Let us pray. Heavenly Father, I thank you for the free gift of Salvation which you have given us. Thank you, Lord, that you came down into this world. God becoming man. I thank you, Lord, that you are giving us this living water, the spiritual life, which we have today is from you. We thank you for that. We commit ourselves once again this day into your hands in Jesus name, I pray. Amen. God bless you.

Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 4 5. As he came to the town of Samaria. Called psychar near the field that Jacob had given to his son, Joseph. Hallelujah.
