John 3:6

Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3, 6.  That, which is born of the flesh is flesh and that, which is born of the spirit is Spirit. The phrase that which is born of Flesh is flesh, has to do with the natural birth. The phrase and that which is born of the spirit is spirit, has to do with what God alone can solely do in our lives. Human beings by themselves are flesh. And their power is limited to what the flesh can do. But the Essence of the spirit is power and life which are Beyond human power and human life. When the spirit takes Position of us, the defeated life of human nature becomes a Victorious life of God. Spiritual birth is absolutely necessary for every man, because all people apart from Christ are sinful by Nature separated from God and in opposition to God, from the birth. On Our own We are not capable of having a close personal relationship with God without the life, transforming power of the Holy spirit. Spiritual birth happens to those who repent of their s...

John 3:5

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3 5.  Jesus answered, truly. Truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.  John chapter 3, 1 to 8. Jesus discusses one of the foundational doctrines of teachings of the Christian faith that is spiritual birth. What is born of water has been debated, by many Bible Scholars. Some say water means, natural birth of a man, others believe that it signifies spiritual cleansing by the word of God. There are others who say that Jesus was probably referring to the cleansing or the spiritual purifying work of the Holy Spirit as it is given in Titus 3 5 it says the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit. One thing is the Regeneration or the spiritual birth is an inward recreating of a spiritual person, spiritually, a life transforming, a change or wreak making of a person's attitude thinking action and occurs from inside out, It marks the beginning of a new and a...

John 3:3

Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3, 3,  Jesus answered him "truly truly I say to you unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.  This was something totally different than what this ruler of the Jews was anticipating. In this few words, Jesus would address Israel's great error as well as proclaim, the fundamental truth. Actually, the most important truth of all is addressed. Israel's error and man's need. First, the Israel's error, Israel had come to a place where a religious leaders believed that simply being born into a Israelite home constituted salvation. They felt that simply being a child of Abraham and therefore a true Jew consisted of Salvation. Here Jesus addresses the greatest need of the human family the need to be born again which constitutes of Redemption. In effect, Jesus is saying that this applies to all even the Jews, no matter that they are the children of Abraham. As well, this means that all men are sinners actually...

John 3:1

Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3 1. Now there was a man of the Pharisees. Named Nicodamus a ruler of the Jews.  For the most part, we see that Jesus was surrounded by Ordinary People. But here, we see that he was in contact with an aristocracy of Jerusalem, nicodamas was a wealthy man. We see this when Jesus died Nikodamus brought for his body, a mixture of Mayr and aloes, weighing about a hundred pound, only a wealthy person can do that. Nicodomas was a Pharisee. A Pharisee entered into a Brotherhood Covenant by taking a pledge in front of three Witnesses. That throughout his life, he will be obeying, the word, the law. To the Jews. The law was the most sacred thing in the world. The law was first five books of the Old Testament. The scribes and Pharisees are set out to extract from the great principles of the law. Every fine, finite number of rules and regulations to govern every conceivable situations in life. In other words, they change the law of the great princip...

John 5:54

Praise the Lord! Today's verse is from John 4, 54.  This was now the second sign that Jesus did when he had come from Judea to Galilee.  John highlights seven specific Miracles, also called as signs that Jesus performed before  his death on the cross.  The first one, the Turning of water into wine, the first miracle. Second, the healing of the Royal official's son, Jesus word, brought that Miracle  Third healing of the lame man at the pool of Bethesda. He was sick for 38 years Four feeding of 5 000 men Besides women and children by just five loaves and two fishes, and the remaining was 12 basketful. Fifth, Jesus walking on the water, demonstrating his divine power  Sixth healing of the blind man. This man was blind from his birth,  Seven Rising Lazarus from dead, who was in grave for four days.  The second Miracle Jesus heals the official's son. The important thing in this miracle is the child was at the point of death. Jesus was about 20 miles aw...

John 4:52,53

Praise the Lord! Today's verse is from John 4, 52, and 53,  So he asked them the hour when he began to get better. And they said to him yesterday at the seventh hour and the fever left him. The father knew that was the hour when Jesus had said to him, your son will live, and he himself believed and all his household. The man was either not certain that it would be as Jesus said, and now was greatly encouraged over the verification, not only of the healing, but the exact time it was carried out or else, he believed fully and was overjoyed to see his faith rewarded  to this degree. Jesus is ever seeking to increase the faith in the hearts of those who believe In him. He is dealing with us, He is increasing our faith in several different ways. He himself believed and all his household. This speaks of all becoming converts to Christ, so his son was not only healed and spared from death, but as well as the greatest gift of Salvation was given to all. What a blessed day! It would ha...

John 4:51

Praise the Lord! Today's verse is John 4: 51,  as he was going down. His servants met him and told him that his son was recovering.  It must have been hard for him to turn away and go home with Jesus assurance that his child would live and he had faith enough to turn and walk back the 20 mile road with nothing but Jesus assurance to comfort his heart. It is the very essence of faith that we should believe that what Jesus says is true. If Jesus says a thing, it is not the case that it may be true, it is the case that it must be true because Jesus words are yes and amen. This phrase is servant met him, proclaims a beautiful story. No doubts their servants, having sat beside for some time, slowly watching his son weaken until it was the point of death. All of a sudden they see, a marvelous or miraculous sign. The fever instantly left. It was totally gone, and the boy is completely well. One can imagine the joy that must have filled that home. And some of his servants left immedia...

John 4:49,50

Today's verse is from John 4, 49, and 50.  The official said to him, sir, come down before my child dies. Jesus said to him go, your son will live. The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and went on his way.  Sir, come down before my child dies. We find that the man has come to a place that he knows Jesus is the only answer. No doubt the doctors have long since been called in, but of no avail, so the only hope was Christ, as Christ is the only hope for all the humanity.  But again, his faith was tested. Jesus does not agree to go with him, he just said. Go, your son will live. The man would have been taken by surprise. In effect, Jesus is telling him that he does not have to be there personally for the miracle to be brought out. But that is, word will suffice. He was a man who is accustomed to being obeyed. People obeyed him, but now he realizes that Jesus is not going to accompany him to Capernaum. But he had the promise from Jesus Christ that his son will liv...

John 4:48

Today's verse is John 4, 48, so Jesus said to him. Unless you see signs and wonders, you will not believe.  This man did not believe when he came to him. That is why Jesus says to him unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe, but after God gave him the promise, he believed in him, and he went to his house. 00:32 Jesus had a way of making sure that a person has earnest desire. If he had gone back or was too proud to accept a rebuke, Jesus would have known that his faith was not real. When Elisha  asked Syrian Commander to dip himself in the Jordan River seven times to be cleansed of his lepercy, He turned back but his servant, who advised him to do so, and  He dipped himself in Jordan for seven times, and he was healed. We read it in second Kings fifth chapter. When a Canaanite woman came to Jesus for the healing of a demon possessed daughter, Jesus told her, it is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs. But she did not go back,...

John 4:46,47

Praise the Lord! Today's verse is from John 4, 46,47 John 4:46-47 ESV [46] So he came again to Cana in Galilee, where he had made the water wine. And at Capernaum there was an official whose son was ill. [47] When this man heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went to him and asked him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. Today, we see the ministry of Jesus in Galilee. He had come to Cana were he had made water into wine. Here. A official of Capernaum came to Jesus. It is about 20 miles, he came there. The Greek word for the official translated is basilicos, Which is translated as an officer or a prince or one of the royal family. And the commentary says that he may be an officer of Herod, antipas Tetra of Galilee. Many great people came to see Jesus in John 3rd chapter. Nicodemus came to Jesus. He was a member of the Senadrin, the ruling party of the Jews. In Mark 5th chapter, we see Jairus, the ruler of the synagogue, came to Jesus as his...

John 4:45

Praise the Lord! Today's verse is from John 4, 45.  So, when he came to Galilee, the galileans welcomed him, having seen all that he had done in Jerusalem at the Feast, for they too had gone to the feast.  Yes, Jesus was there in the feast, and he had done great things, Miracles there. The people of Galilee were there, and they saw. The Samaritans believed in Jesus, not because of someone's else story, but because they have heard him speak things. The like of which they had never heard. The galileans believed in him, not because someone has told them about him, but because they have seen him do in Jerusalem, things the like of which they have not, or never seen. The galileans had gone to Jerusalem because it is commanded in Deuteronomy 16:16, that three times in a year all thier males must appear before the Lord thier God in the place which he chose, that is the temple in Jerusalem. At the Feast of the unleavened bread and at the Feast of weeks and at the Feast of the Tabernac...

John 4:43,44

Today's verse is from John 4, 43, and 44.  After two days, he departed from Galilee. For, Jesus himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own Hometown. Jesus was in Samaria for two days and preached the gospel. There would have been great joy in the town. After Jesus, it was Philip, who went to Samaria. In Acts 8:5-8 we see [5] Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Christ. [6] And the crowds with one accord paid attention to what was being said by Philip, when they heard him and saw the signs that he did. [7] For unclean spirits, crying out with a loud voice, came out of many who had them, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed. [8] So there was much joy in that city. There is Joy in a city where the gospel is preached. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Philip, preached the gospel signs and wonders happed, the Samaritans believed, and they were baptized in water, and later they received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah! Jesus tes...

John 4:42

Praise the Lord! Today's verse is from John 4, 42.  They said to the woman. It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves. We know that this is indeed the savior of the world.  The Samaritans are saying to the woman that it is no longer your testimony that made us to believe in Christ, but we have heard him. We have believed in him. We have had a personal experience. That is to say, we have tasted him in our life. The Bible says. In Psalms 34;8, O taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man that trusts in him.  We may have heard about Jesus, but have you received him as your personal savior in your life? This is a personal experience. This is one of the performed statement ever made that Jesus is the savior of the world. It came from the lips of the Samaritans. It is only in 1st John 4, 14. We find this tremendous title it says we have seen and testified that the father has sent his son to be the savior of the world....

John 4:40,41

Praise the Lord! Today's verse is from John 4:40-41  [40] So when the Samaritans came to him, they asked him to stay with them, and he stayed there two days. [41] And many more believed because of his word.  A group of Samaritans came to Jesus. There had been so convinced by the testimony of the Samaritan woman and the Glorious change in her life, so they decided to see it for themselves and came to Jesus and asked Jesus to stay with them for two days. This is a beautiful moment in the ministry of Jesus, because much of the time he was rejected by the Jews and the Pharisees. The hostility on the part of the Jews have already started, and this would just increase from this point forward until the day he would be crucified. He stayed with them in the Samaritan town for two days. No Jews. Would do that because their heart was ruled by hatred towards the Samaritans. But Jesus heart was ruled by the love towards the lost. One thing was sure, this two days was the greatest time tha...
