John 4:36
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 4:36, already.
John 4:36 ESV
Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together.
Here, Jesus is saying about the rewards we receive for doing God's work. When we bring souls to the kingdom of God, we are truly rewarded.
Their God's reward starts immediately. They have the satisfication and the joy of bringing a soul to Jesus. It is also the deep love we have for those people whom we have brought to Christ. When we bring people to Jesus, we not only receive the reward in this world, but also in the world to come.
In heaven, we have a great reward, Daniel. 12:3. Those who are wise will shine like brightness of the Heavenly expanse and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever. First Peter 5:4 and when the chief Shepherd Jesus appears, you will receive the Crown of Glory that will not fade away.
Revelation 22:12 Jesus is saying, look, I am coming quickly, and my reward will be with me to give to everyone according to his work. Yes, the coming of Jesus is near and his reward he is going to give to us whatever we do for Jesus, it will be rewarded.
He is going to come back again.
In John 14:2-3 ESV
[2] In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? [3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
Jesus says in Matthew. 19:29, and everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father, or mother or children or lands for my name's sake will receive a hundredfold and will have eternal life. Yes, whatever we do for God, it is truly rewarded. That's why Jesus is saying in this verse, Already the one who reaps is receiving wages. We are sure of our wages.
