John 4:27

Praise the Lord! Today's verse is from John 4, 27.

Just then, his disciples came back. They marveled that he was talking with a woman, but no one said, what do you seek, or why are you talking with her?

Here, we see that the disciples came back from the town where they had gone to purchase food. The marveled that he was talking to a woman. The Jews had no dealings with the Samaritans. The rabies did not Converse with a woman in public or instruct them in the law in the public. Actually, this was one of the reasons that the Pharisees and the ruling hierarchy of Israel hated Jesus because he Completely ignored the man-made rules and obeyed the will of the father. Jesus lifted woman to their true position. They Ministered unto him with their substance. The shared his miraculous, healing power, the feeding and  the teaching. They anointed his feet with Ointment. The wept over his Agony when he was going to the Cross. They followed him to the cross. They were at this Sepulcher early in the morning. Mary Magdalene was the first to see him after the Resurrection. Luke 2:13, we see that women supported Jesus by their finances. In Luke 7:36, we see Jesus in a Pharisee's house eating. There, a woman of the city who was a sinner came into the house, brought an albaster flask of ointment. She was weeping and wet Jesus feet with her tears, wiped them with the hair of her head, and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment because of her love for Jesus. This woman is willing to humble herself and wet his feet with the tears taking no thought of what others might think.

Real love for and devotion came from deep awareness of the sinfulness of the past. Do we love Jesus? Do we remember that Jesus has forgiven our sins? Do you Have that love for Jesus. Do we have the Assurance that Jesus has forgiven all our sins and he has taken up our sins upon the cross and taking it away?

Prayer
Let us pray. Hallelujah,  Heavenly Father, I thank you for this day of God. Thank you for giving us your grace to know that the love which we have for Jesus. We commit ourselves once again to your hands. Oh, God, help us to Humble ourselves in your presence father because you have forgiven our sins. We thank you, we praise you in Jesus name, I pray. Amen. Amen.
