John 4:31,32

Praise the Lord.
Today's verse is from John 4, 31, and 32. Meanwhile, the disciples were urging him saying Rabbi eat. But he said to them, I have food to eat that you do not know about.
When the disciples arrived from the market after buying food, Jesus was finishing his conversation with the Samaritan woman, and she left to go to the town in order to spread the good news. The disciples are parallaxed, at Jesus, dealing with her, but eventually when he seemed to express no appetite for the food which they have brought. They were urging him to eat out of concern for his health.
That had come a long way. And they had to go a long way. And they knew that Jesus needed strength for the journey.
When Jesus had fasted for 40 days without food, Satan came to him and said, if you are the Son of God, command that these Stones become bread. Jesus answered and said, it is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but By every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God". Food is required for the external man. But we have an internal man, the spirit man, and we need the word of God for our inner man to be strengthened. Our inner man is strengthened only by reading and meditating the word of God that is the Bible. Do you spend time in reading and meditating the word of God? 1 Peter 2, 2, says like newborn babies long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it, you may grow in respect to Salvation.
Prayer
Let us pray, Heavenly Father. We thank you for your word of God. Your word strengthens us, encourages us even as Jesus said I have the food which you do not know about. Yes, master. We wanted that food of us. We commit ourselves to you, O Lord, help us Lord to read your word, meditate your word, and to be strengthened by your word. Every day, yes father, we commit this day to your hands in the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen. Amen. God bless you.
