John 3:28

Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3 28. You yourself bear  Me witness that I said I am not the Christ. But I have been sent before him. 

After the last book of the Old Testament, Malachi. 400 years has passed and there was no prophets. People were waiting for Messiah to come into this world. At that time, John the Baptist started preaching about repentance and they thought that he is the Messiah or Christ. 

John chapter 1, we see the religious leaders and the Pharisees came to John asking him if he was the Messiah, he had clearly told them that he is not the Messiah or Christ in this verse again he says I am not the Christ but I have been sent before him. John the Baptist boldly proclaimed that he is not the Christ. Not only does a statement Proclaim his denial but even more it says that he knows another who is the Christ that is Jesus. I have been sent before him proclaims that, the fact that he is under Jesus's Authority and not the authority of the Pharisees or any part of the religious hierarchy of Israel.

John had assured them that his was not the leading place, but that he was merely sent as the herald, the Forerunner and the preparer for the great one to come.

If the new leader Jesus was winning more followers, it was not because he was stealing them from John, but because God was giving them to him.

Prayer 

 Let us pray, Heavenly Father. Help us to be humble, like John the Baptist. Lord, we know that  you have to be given whole Horner and glory and not anyone else.

We commit ourselves to your hands. Our Father bless this day and help us to be humble and to live for your glory in Jesus name, I pray, amen. God bless you.

Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 4th chapter and verses one and two. We are studying from the fourth chapter of John from today. Now when Jesus learned that the Pharisees have heard that Jesus was baptizing more disciples than John, although Jesus himself did not baptize but only his disciples. Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 4 5. As he came to the town of Samaria. Called psychar near the field that Jacob had given to his son, Joseph. Hallelujah. In this verse, we see that John the author of this book, had an accurate knowledge of the land of Israel, And also he knew the history of that land. In Genesis 33 19. We see that when Jacob came back to the land of Israel from the house of Leban his father in law, he brought This place For a hundred pieces of silver. It was called the city of Sheikhim.  Jacob says he had given Joseph one portion above his brother. In Genesis 50:25.
