John 6:11

Praise the Lord today's verse is from John 6:11 “Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted.”

‭
We have to give thanks to God for our food, for it is the mercies of God that we have this food in our hand. We have it from the hand of God and must receive it with thanksgiving. We have to thank God for everything we receive in our life.
May be our clothes, maybe our shoes, or any other things. What have you said thanks to God lately?

We have a beautiful picture here of the perishing world or the people, the powerless disciples, and the perfect Saviour Jesus Christ, the miracle be involved a true act of creation.
John mentioned the fact that Jesus gave thanks, but the other gospel states that Jesus looked up to heaven when he gave thanks by that act he reminded the hungry people that God is the source of all good and needful gifts. This is a good lesson for us instead of complaining about what we do not have, we should give thanks to God for what we do have, and he will make it to go further in our lives. Here we see Jesus giving the bread to his disciples and and the disciples gave it to the people.
This miracle also reminds us that while salvation is of the Lord and bestowed only by grace, God still uses human instrument to take this gospel message to man. Rom 10:14 says How shall they hear without a preacher? How can they hear the gospel without someone preaching to them?

We give ourselves to God. He will take it, break it, and use it to bless others. There is a beautiful song, Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on us, break us, melt us, mould us, and use us. God has saved us and has given us the responsibility of telling others about this salvation, about this gospel.
John 3:16 says for God, so love the world that he gave, His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him, shall not perish, but have eternal life. This is the message of gospel.

John. 6:11 also says that they had as much as they wanted.
Jesus provides us whatever he provides he provides it abundantly Ephesians 3:20 says now to him who is able to do far more abundantly, beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works within us.

Here we see the boy gave everything he had. Let us also give ourselves to God today.
Prayer

Let us pray, Heavenly Father, we submit ourselves to you, O God, we thank God for everything we have received in our lives. It is a gift of God.
I thank you for this day, O Lord. We give ourselves into your hands in Jesus precious name, I pray. Amen, God bless you.
