John 3:36
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3:36.
Whoever believes in the son has eternal life. Whoever does not obey the son shall not see life but the wrath of God remains in him.
What a beautiful promise. And also, we see that it also says about the condemnation of those who does not believe in Jesus.
The message was told by John the Baptist. Jesus also said the same thing in John 3 16 whoever believes in him that is Jesus shall not perish but have eternal life. In verse 18, Jesus says, he who does not believe has been judged already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten, Son of God.
Whoever does not obey the son shall not see life refers believing as far more than mere mental acceptance, but rather obedience as well. The life here addressed is the life of God, which is imparted to all True believers.
Every person in the world knows in his heart, that there is a life after death. Some people call it as mukti or some say to attain Shanti that is peace after death. Even after death of a man the relativies does some prayers of Puja for the Shanti of the Soul. That means the soul is in a place where there is no Santi or peace so they do something to take this Soul to a place of Shanti. Even today some Christians, pray for the dead to take them from hell or purgatory to Heaven. Act 16 chapter, we see Philippian, Jailer asked Paul what shall I do to be saved?
That is how can I attain Mukthi or Shanthi. Paul replies believe in Jesus, you and your family will be saved. Today's verse also, we see John the Baptist saying whoever believes in the Son as eternal life. Have you believed in the Son of God, Jesus. Have you the assurance of eternal life? Today, as you believe in Jesus, the eternal life starts today and you live forever with God.
Prayer
Let's pray, Heavenly Father, I thank you for this day oh God, thank you for your Assurance you are giving us that when we believe in you when we obey you, when we know that you have come into this world for for my sin and you died on the cross, then there is eternal life starting in our life today.
We thank you, Father, give us your grace in Jesus name, I pray, amen. God bless you.
