John 3:10

Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3, 10.

Jesus answered him. Are you the teacher of Israel? And at you, do not understand these things.

Jesus says, you are the teacher or a master of Israel, which means that Nicodemus was held in a very high regard as he was looked upon even in a more Superior light than just being a member of the sanadrin which  within itself was of the greatest privileges. Yet he knew the word of God so little that he really  did not know what it is to be saved. This is the tragedy of many in the world at this present day in fact, always had been. Israel at that time would have thought of this man as anything, but a spiritual gaint. This means that association with spiritual things, does not bring salvation. It also means participating in spiritual things or  rituals contains no Saving Grace.  Many Christians today profess salvation but in reality, not know the Lord and are completely lost. The question do you not understand These things? means that it should have  known the way of Salvation, but the sad fact is he didn't.

He had the idea that being born a Jew. And therefore being a good Jew, a child of Abraham, Constituted Salvation. Nicodomos did not allow the the word of God to be a mirror as it was intended to be. Consequently, the Holy Spirit had little opportunity to speak to his heart. Today, let us look into ourselves. Are we saved? Have we taken the word of God Meditated on it and committed Our Lives to Christ. This is the question to us today.

Prayer

Let us pray Heavenly Father. I thank you Lord. We know Master many times we think that we are something great but Lord, we know that only you when the Holy Spirit comes in us that you will change our lives. I commit myself once again to your hands in Jesus name I pray. Amen. God bless you.
