John 3:29

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3 29,  The one who has the bride is the bridegroom, the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him rejoices greatly at the bride groom's voice. Therefore, the joy of mine is now complete.  Finally, John used a very vivid picture, which every Jew would recognize He called  Jesus the bridegroom and himself the friend. Bridegroom is one of the great pictures of the Old Testament is of Israel as the bride of God and God as the bridegroom of Israel. The union between God and Israel was so close that it could be likened only to a wedding. Today The church is likened to be the bride and Jesus is the bridegroom Paul says in Ephesians 5 25. Husbands love your wives. Just as Jesus also, loved the church and gave himself up for her. The friend of the bridegroom has a unique place at the Jewish wedding, he arranged the wedding, he went out or sent out the invitations, he presided at the wedding, Feast he brought the brid...

John 3:30

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is John 3:30.  He must increase. But I must decrease.  The greatest desire of John, the Baptist was Jesus must increase. And he  John, the Baptist must decrease in his popularity. This should be the desire in our lives, also that Jesus should increase in our life, and we must decrease, Here, we see the humility of John, the Baptist God wants us to be humble in our lives. In the gospel of Matthew, we read in Matthew, 20:20, the mother of James, and John had a request to Jesus that her sons may sit on the right and left of Jesus in His Kingdom. Hearing this, the other disciples became indignant with the two brothers. Jesus called his disciples to him and said  You know that the rulers of the Gentiles Lord it over them and their great man exercise authority over them. It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you  shall be your servant and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slav...

John 3:27

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3, 27, John answered, a person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from Heaven:  1. Number one, John's Ministry is from God, and Jesus ministry is from God, and therefore, it is from Heaven. When God calls us and gives us a Ministry, Heaven will back us up  2. John has been told by God to do what he was doing and Jesus has been told by his heavenly father to do what he was doing. So the fact both were baptizing represents, no problem or presents , no problem as both are in the will of God. Today are we hearing the voice of God and doing what God wants us to do. 3. The religious hierarchy of Israel nor any other man devised hierarchy can bestow anything of God to anyone. The Lord does not work through intermediatories but rather directly from himself to the person in question. 4. The religious leaders cannot control that which God orders  5. What is given by God to man must be recognized by other men....

John 3:26

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3 26 and they came to John and said to him Rabbi he who was with you across the Jordan to whom you bore witness. Look, he is baptizing and all are going to him.  The disciples and the Jew was having an argument over purification and they came to John, the Baptist and here they were telling John, that people are all going to Jesus. They wanted to bring enmity between John the Baptist and Jesus. But when we read the verse following, we see that John exalted Jesus and finally, he said, he must increase and I must decrease. Today also, more people may be going some churches. Some churches they may be not much people but don't criticize any church. Don't criticize any Pastor. We need to pray for them. Encourage them.  However, in Matthew 11 2-6. We read that when John was put into prison, he sent two of his disciples to Jesus asking. Are you the one who is to come or shall we look for another Jesus answered, go and tell Joh...

John 3:25

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3, 25. now a discussion arose between some of the John's disciple and a Jew over purification.  Here, we see that there was a argument between John's disciples and a Jew. It is the unending argument over matters of religion which profits nothing. Today also people keep arguing about religion which is of no use. Jews had a lot of law for purification. Mark 7 4 says that they had traditions for washing of cup pots and brazen vessels. As we see, they also had Law for washing the hands washing their feet after when they come inside some place. Jesus said, you lay aside the Commandments of God and hold to the traditions of men as of the washing of pots and cups. Has all religions, these Jews thought that such a purification can purify one from sin. However, this washing did not neither did, John's baptism cleanse them from their sins, but only the blood of Jesus can cleanse us from our sins. Hallelujah. Today. Also, peo...

John 3:24

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3. 24 . for John  had not yet been put in prison  John Came into this world and he was given two specific tasks to do in his life. The first one, prepare the way for the Messiah. He preached the kingdom of God and prepared, the hearts of people to receive Jesus. Who was coming soon. Second the next task was to introduce Jesus to the world as Messiah. He said pointing to Jesus Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of this world. John 1 29. John the writer of this gospel was saying that the ministry of John was about to conclude because he is going to be put into prison. Mark's 6th chapter 14 to 29 explains why John the Baptist was imprisoned and how we died a martyr's death. Herod had married his brother Philip's wife and John had been saying to him It is not lawful for you to have your brother's wife. So he put him in prison Haradise, wife of Herod  Had a grudge against John and wanted to put him to de...

John 3:23

Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3:23. John also was baptizing at  Anon near Salem because water was Plentiful there. And people were coming and being baptized. Jesus started baptizing, the people.  And here we see that John the baptist also continued to baptize people at Arenon near Salem. This place there was plenty of water. Plenty of water was needed for baptism. This indicates that it was not a sprinkling baptism, which many people do. According to the Bible, it is an immersion baptism after a person accepts Jesus, as their savior. Mark 16 15 and 16 says, go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the wall creation, whoever believes and is baptized will be saved. But whoever does not believe will be condemned. Hallelujah. Here we see that a person has to understand the gospel and believe that means he is not a baby. He is a grown-up person. Who understands what is salvation. Whoever does not believe will be condemned. Romans 6 4 says we are bu...

John 3:22

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3:22 after this Jesus and his disciples went into the Judean Countryside and he remained there with them and was baptizing  Jesus and his disciples left, the Metropolis of Jerusalem where the hostility was already beginning to mount. Especially considering his cleansing of the Temple. There could be no greater honour paid for John the Baptist then for Jesus The savior of mankind, the baptizer in the Holy Spirit to practice the same rite as his forerunner, John the Baptist. Luke 3:1 to 22. We see people came to John the Baptist and heard his preaching and were convicted of their sin and repented, and those who were repented, he baptized them. Luke 3, 16. We see John The Baptist said, as for me, I baptize you with water but one is coming, who is mightier than I, He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Today when a person is born again and his life is changed, we baptize them to show to the world that this person being...

John 3:21

Image
Praise the Lord.  Today's verse is from John 3:21 but whoever does what is true comes to the light so that it may be clearly seen that his work have been carried out in God.  Yes. In verse 20, we saw everyone who does wicked things hates the light and here on the contrary we see that whoever does what is true or right or good comes to the light. So whoever as a desire to do the right things, they come to Jesus and they are born again,  This verse ends the dialogue between Jesus and Nicodemus about born again experience John 3:3-21. So the whole of this section brings forward the fundamental fact of sin, its Doom, the helpless moral condition of a sinner and the one and only door of Salvation that is through the crucified and atoning work of Jesus Christ The Savior. The necessity of New Birth and the fact that this new birth takes place when the sinner entrusts himself to Jesus as the Savior and the Lord.  Nicodemus began its appeal to Christ with self-suf...

John 3:20

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3:20 ESV For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.  The primary reason men do not accept Jesus Christ as a savior that is the light of the world is because they love Darkness that is their sin. They don't want to change their way of living, which is evil. So they reject the light that offers to save them from the terrible result of sin, which is the final death or In this verse, we see for everyone who does wicked things hates the light. So, in this phrase, we find the reason for hatred of the world towards Jesus, not only towards Jesus, but all those who follow him, if you have been following Jesus and people are hating you, it is because they love to live in their sin. Here, we see it's written the light. That means there is no other light. There is no other way to Salvation. There is no other way to truth. And the Jesus said, I am the way, t...

John 3:19

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3, 19  and this is the Judgment The light has come into the world and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their Works were evil.  Jesus, after speaking of judgment and he further speaks of the reason of the judgment, the light has come into this world, who is this light?  It is a person Jesus Christ. John 8, 12 and 9: 5  Jesus says, I am the light of the world. What does the light do? It eliminates the place shows us the path were we have to go. People loved Darkness. What does Darkness indicates? It indicates sin, evil hatred, jealousy war, and such things. People love to live in sin, so they rejected Jesus.  In John Chapter 8, we see of the incident. We see the Pharisees and scribes brought to Jesus a woman caught in adultery. They said the law of Moses commanded us to stone this woman. What do you say? They ask Jesus. Jesus said to them, he who is without sin among you let him be the ...

John 3:18

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3, 18, whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe, is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only son of God.  Condemned in the Greek meaning is crinitaya. Meaning to judge. The Bible says, there is a final judgment for every human being who live on this Earth. It is written in Revelation, 20 12 to 15. This is called the white Throne Judgment verse 12 says, and I saw the dead the Great and Small standing before The Throne and the books were  opened. And another book was opened which is the book of life and the dead were judged from the things, which were written in the books. According to their deeds verse 15 says, and if anyone's name was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the Lake of Fire. In the final judgment, we see the books are opened which records everything we have done. And another book, which is the book of life. When we believe in Je...

John 3:17

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3:17. And God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.  For God did not send his son into the world to condemn, the world means that the object of Christ's Mission was to save the world. The Greek word for condemn is krino and it means to judge. the first coming of Jesus was to save and his second coming will be to judge the world. Jesus did not condemn the world that is the unsaved. But he did condemn and sharply So those who called themselves the people of God, but actually were not I speak of the religious leadership of Israel. As with Nicodemos, there are thousands of people who think that they are saved, but they are not. So while Jesus had strong words of condemnation for the apostate religion, he had nothing but kindness and graciousness for Sinners who were sincere. He healed every single one who came to him Irrespective of the spiritual condi...

John 3:16

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is John 3, 16? For God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him, shall not perish but have eternal life.  Everyone has a favorite verse in the Bible. This verse is everyone's favorite verse of the Bible. This verse gives us the very essence of the Gospel. We see here. God loves us. Yes. God loves the world because he had created it the world speaks of all human being in the world. Whoever it is, he may be  in any religion. Even a atheist. But God loves them. God loves all the people of the world. Many think that God is a God who only punishes the people. No, he is not there to punish but he is a loving God. He gave his only begotten son, That is Jesus. Jesus being God became a man took the punishment of our sins on the cross and died for us and rose again. The verse says, whoever believes in him, the salvation is for everyone He may be a worst sinner or a good man. He may be a murderer, a thief, or the...

John 3:15

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3, 15. That whoever believes in him, should not perish, but have eternal life.  We will see the meaning of each word in this verse. That Whoever, This means that all are lost. And consequently, all can be saved. Means exactly what it says. None are excluded from being lost and none are excluded from being saved. You can be saved. Believe in him. It is not enough to merely believe as multitude do in this world, but one must believe in him. That is the Lord Jesus Christ. What does it mean to believe in him? The word believe contains the idea of entrusting oneself into the custody and safe keeping of another These words refer to the faith, which a lost sinner must place in the Lord Jesus in order to be saved. They include the act of considering the Lord Jesus worthy of the trust and placing confidence in his ability to do so. Just what he says he will do. That is he will save us. It refers to the act of entrusting, the salvation ...

John 3:14

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3 14 as Moses lifted up the serpent in the Wilderness. So must the And be lifted up that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. John goes back to a strange Old Testament story, which is told in numbers, 24 4-9. On the, on their Journey, through the Wilderness, the people of Israel murmured, and complained, and regretted that they had ever left Egypt to punish them. God sent a plague of deadley fiery serpents the people repented and cried for Mercy, God instructed Moses to make an image of a serpent made of  bronze and to hold it up in the center of the camp. Those who looked upon the serpent were healed. The story much impressed the Israelites. Even though must the son of, man, that is Jesus The Messiah be lifted up. As the serpent was on the pole, likewise Jesus must be lifted up on a cross. Jesus now recalls one of the Earthly things to Nicodemus and opens its spiritual message. Jesus is saying, a look of Faith to a ...

John 3:13

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3, 13.  No one has ascended into heaven, except he who descended from Heaven, the son of man,  No one has ascended into heaven till the time of Jesus. No one has ascended into heaven with a glorified body. Jesus was the first to ascend into heaven after that his death and Resurrection. But when you believe in Jesus, you will Ascend into heaven when Jesus comes again, and when you are prepared In  1 Thessalonians 4:16 for the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command with the voice of the Archangel and with the sound of the trumpet of God and the dead in Christ will rise first. Yes. The death in Christ. If we are dead in Christ, if you are in Christ, we become a new creation and then we will rise first, if that if you are dead we will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord....

John 3:12

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3, 12.  If I have told you Earthly things and you do not believe. How can you believe if I tell you Heavenly things?  Being born again, is the Earthly thing as you have to be born again, when you are on this Earth, you cannot be born again after your death. For Nicodemus born again had no spiritual meaning for his heart or for his conscience.  Unbelief is the crowning sin of humanity, John 3, 8, and 9 says, when the Holy Spirit comes, he will convict the world concerning sin because they do not believe in me. Man, do not desire to believe that Jesus is the son of God or the savior of the mankind, one who paid the price for man's Redemption. When we properly understand the Bible then we will have a proper knowledge of Jesus Christ, actually his life and Ministry can be summed up as first, Jesus is the savior. Jesus is the baptizer of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the Healer Jesus is coming again to establish his kingdom o...

John 3:11

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is John 3, 11. Truly truly. I say to you. We speak of what we know. And bear witness of what we have seen. But you do not receive our testimony.  Jesus saying we speak of what we know. That means. There it is, not I but we It speaks of all the apostles and Prophets Ephesians 2 20 says, built on the foundations of Apostles and Prophets  Christ, Jesus himself, being the Cornerstone. Paul here, speaks of the church, been built on the foundations of the Apostles and Prophets in essence  Jesus is speaking of the word of God and is directing Nicodemus to the source instead of the traditions of man. He Is saying in effect we speak what we know. It is the sure word of the Lord and not the word of man. When someone preached the gospel or the Bible, they are preaching that which is certain We bear witness of what we have seen means that one can actually see the fruits and the benefits of this testimony of the word of God. We see the Miracl...

John 3:10

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3, 10.  Jesus answered him. Are you the teacher of Israel? And at you, do not understand these things.  Jesus says, you are the teacher or a master of Israel, which means that Nicodemus was held in a very high regard as he was looked upon even in a more Superior light than just being a member of the sanadrin which  within itself was of the greatest privileges. Yet he knew the word of God so little that he really  did not know what it is to be saved. This is the tragedy of many in the world at this present day in fact, always had been. Israel at that time would have thought of this man as anything, but a spiritual gaint. This means that association with spiritual things, does not bring salvation. It also means participating in spiritual things or  rituals contains no Saving Grace.  Many Christians today profess salvation but in reality, not know the Lord and are completely lost. The question do you not ...

John 3:9

Image
John 3, 9. Nicodemus said to him, how can these things be? Was speaking to Nicodemus. He said, unless you are born again, you will not see the kingdom of God. But Nicodamus did not understand. So, Jesus explained. Step by step, what is it to be born again. But he still thinking of the natural. Whatever knowledge we have, unless the Holy spirit gives us the understanding, you will not be able to know the things written in the word of God or the Bible. The best way to understand Bible is to go through the Bible. Bible is the best interpretation for the Bible. If you are not able to understand the verse, we find out the verses written about that in other parts of the Bible. Yes, if you are not able to understand what is born again, The Bible says, Romans 10 9. That if you confess. With your mouth. Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from dead you will be saved. Yes, you are going to be born again when we submit ourselves to Christ, and also believe...

John 3:8

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3 8. The wind blows, where it wishes. And you hear it sound. But you do not know where it comes from or where it goes, so it is with everyone who is born of the spirit.  In this way, Jesus explains the born-again experience. He likens it to the wind which comes and goes, but it is impossible to tell exactly how or what causes it to blow in a certain direction or exactly where it originates.  The idea is one cannot deny it's presence because it can be readily felt. However, it's coming and going is a mystery. So it is with everyone who is born of the spirit. The born again experience is beyond comprehension. One knows that God is the author of the Salvation and that he carries it out by the power of the Holy Spirit, according to the faith evidenced in Jesus, And what he did at Calvary. We also know it is a gift of God. However, The means of, in which the Lord. This, the changing of a human heart immediately upon faith i...

John 3:7

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3 7,  Do not Marvel. That I said you must be born again.  Do not Marvel. The Amplified Bible says, do not be surprised or astonished this addresses, Nicodamus to the surprise, which Jesus saw on his face. In the few movement time, nicodomas finds that their old ideas of the national privileges and the purification by the sacrifice and of the soundly thought principles and habits meant nothing at all to the Lord. Yes, many people will stand before God one day and find out that all their good works, Ritual, religion and beautiful ceremonies are absolutely nothing to do with being right with God. The phrase you must be born again says it all. This and this alone will be recognized by the creator of all ages. Entrance into human families is  by natural birth and into the Divine family is by the spiritual birth. It does not matter how spiritual a person may talk and seem to claim to be If he lives in the principles that a...

John 3:6

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3, 6.  That, which is born of the flesh is flesh and that, which is born of the spirit is Spirit. The phrase that which is born of Flesh is flesh, has to do with the natural birth. The phrase and that which is born of the spirit is spirit, has to do with what God alone can solely do in our lives. Human beings by themselves are flesh. And their power is limited to what the flesh can do. But the Essence of the spirit is power and life which are Beyond human power and human life. When the spirit takes Position of us, the defeated life of human nature becomes a Victorious life of God. Spiritual birth is absolutely necessary for every man, because all people apart from Christ are sinful by Nature separated from God and in opposition to God, from the birth. On Our own We are not capable of having a close personal relationship with God without the life, transforming power of the Holy spirit. Spiritual birth happens to those who repen...

John 3:5

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3 5.  Jesus answered, truly. Truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.  John chapter 3, 1 to 8. Jesus discusses one of the foundational doctrines of teachings of the Christian faith that is spiritual birth. What is born of water has been debated, by many Bible Scholars. Some say water means, natural birth of a man, others believe that it signifies spiritual cleansing by the word of God. There are others who say that Jesus was probably referring to the cleansing or the spiritual purifying work of the Holy Spirit as it is given in Titus 3 5 it says the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit. One thing is the Regeneration or the spiritual birth is an inward recreating of a spiritual person, spiritually, a life transforming, a change or wreak making of a person's attitude thinking action and occurs from inside out, It marks the beginning of a new and a...

John 3:3

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3, 3,  Jesus answered him "truly truly I say to you unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.  This was something totally different than what this ruler of the Jews was anticipating. In this few words, Jesus would address Israel's great error as well as proclaim, the fundamental truth. Actually, the most important truth of all is addressed. Israel's error and man's need. First, the Israel's error, Israel had come to a place where a religious leaders believed that simply being born into a Israelite home constituted salvation. They felt that simply being a child of Abraham and therefore a true Jew consisted of Salvation. Here Jesus addresses the greatest need of the human family the need to be born again which constitutes of Redemption. In effect, Jesus is saying that this applies to all even the Jews, no matter that they are the children of Abraham. As well, this means that all men are sinn...

John 3:1

Image
Praise the Lord. Today's verse is from John 3 1. Now there was a man of the Pharisees. Named Nicodamus a ruler of the Jews.  For the most part, we see that Jesus was surrounded by Ordinary People. But here, we see that he was in contact with an aristocracy of Jerusalem, nicodamas was a wealthy man. We see this when Jesus died Nikodamus brought for his body, a mixture of Mayr and aloes, weighing about a hundred pound, only a wealthy person can do that. Nicodomas was a Pharisee. A Pharisee entered into a Brotherhood Covenant by taking a pledge in front of three Witnesses. That throughout his life, he will be obeying, the word, the law. To the Jews. The law was the most sacred thing in the world. The law was first five books of the Old Testament. The scribes and Pharisees are set out to extract from the great principles of the law. Every fine, finite number of rules and regulations to govern every conceivable situations in life. In other words, they change the law of the g...

John 5:54

Praise the Lord! Today's verse is from John 4, 54.  This was now the second sign that Jesus did when he had come from Judea to Galilee.  John highlights seven specific Miracles, also called as signs that Jesus performed before  his death on the cross.  The first one, the Turning of water into wine, the first miracle. Second, the healing of the Royal official's son, Jesus word, brought that Miracle  Third healing of the lame man at the pool of Bethesda. He was sick for 38 years Four feeding of 5 000 men Besides women and children by just five loaves and two fishes, and the remaining was 12 basketful. Fifth, Jesus walking on the water, demonstrating his divine power  Sixth healing of the blind man. This man was blind from his birth,  Seven Rising Lazarus from dead, who was in grave for four days.  The second Miracle Jesus heals the official's son. The important thing in this miracle is the child was at the point of death. Jesus was about 20 miles aw...

John 4:52,53

Praise the Lord! Today's verse is from John 4, 52, and 53,  So he asked them the hour when he began to get better. And they said to him yesterday at the seventh hour and the fever left him. The father knew that was the hour when Jesus had said to him, your son will live, and he himself believed and all his household. The man was either not certain that it would be as Jesus said, and now was greatly encouraged over the verification, not only of the healing, but the exact time it was carried out or else, he believed fully and was overjoyed to see his faith rewarded  to this degree. Jesus is ever seeking to increase the faith in the hearts of those who believe In him. He is dealing with us, He is increasing our faith in several different ways. He himself believed and all his household. This speaks of all becoming converts to Christ, so his son was not only healed and spared from death, but as well as the greatest gift of Salvation was given to all. What a blessed day! It would ha...

John 4:51

Praise the Lord! Today's verse is John 4: 51,  as he was going down. His servants met him and told him that his son was recovering.  It must have been hard for him to turn away and go home with Jesus assurance that his child would live and he had faith enough to turn and walk back the 20 mile road with nothing but Jesus assurance to comfort his heart. It is the very essence of faith that we should believe that what Jesus says is true. If Jesus says a thing, it is not the case that it may be true, it is the case that it must be true because Jesus words are yes and amen. This phrase is servant met him, proclaims a beautiful story. No doubts their servants, having sat beside for some time, slowly watching his son weaken until it was the point of death. All of a sudden they see, a marvelous or miraculous sign. The fever instantly left. It was totally gone, and the boy is completely well. One can imagine the joy that must have filled that home. And some of his servants left immedia...

John 4:49,50

Today's verse is from John 4, 49, and 50.  The official said to him, sir, come down before my child dies. Jesus said to him go, your son will live. The man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him and went on his way.  Sir, come down before my child dies. We find that the man has come to a place that he knows Jesus is the only answer. No doubt the doctors have long since been called in, but of no avail, so the only hope was Christ, as Christ is the only hope for all the humanity.  But again, his faith was tested. Jesus does not agree to go with him, he just said. Go, your son will live. The man would have been taken by surprise. In effect, Jesus is telling him that he does not have to be there personally for the miracle to be brought out. But that is, word will suffice. He was a man who is accustomed to being obeyed. People obeyed him, but now he realizes that Jesus is not going to accompany him to Capernaum. But he had the promise from Jesus Christ that his son will liv...

John 4:48

Today's verse is John 4, 48, so Jesus said to him. Unless you see signs and wonders, you will not believe.  This man did not believe when he came to him. That is why Jesus says to him unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe, but after God gave him the promise, he believed in him, and he went to his house. 00:32 Jesus had a way of making sure that a person has earnest desire. If he had gone back or was too proud to accept a rebuke, Jesus would have known that his faith was not real. When Elisha  asked Syrian Commander to dip himself in the Jordan River seven times to be cleansed of his lepercy, He turned back but his servant, who advised him to do so, and  He dipped himself in Jordan for seven times, and he was healed. We read it in second Kings fifth chapter. When a Canaanite woman came to Jesus for the healing of a demon possessed daughter, Jesus told her, it is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs. But she did not go back,...

John 4:46,47

Praise the Lord! Today's verse is from John 4, 46,47 John 4:46-47 ESV [46] So he came again to Cana in Galilee, where he had made the water wine. And at Capernaum there was an official whose son was ill. [47] When this man heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went to him and asked him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. Today, we see the ministry of Jesus in Galilee. He had come to Cana were he had made water into wine. Here. A official of Capernaum came to Jesus. It is about 20 miles, he came there. The Greek word for the official translated is basilicos, Which is translated as an officer or a prince or one of the royal family. And the commentary says that he may be an officer of Herod, antipas Tetra of Galilee. Many great people came to see Jesus in John 3rd chapter. Nicodemus came to Jesus. He was a member of the Senadrin, the ruling party of the Jews. In Mark 5th chapter, we see Jairus, the ruler of the synagogue, came to Jesus as his...

John 4:45

Praise the Lord! Today's verse is from John 4, 45.  So, when he came to Galilee, the galileans welcomed him, having seen all that he had done in Jerusalem at the Feast, for they too had gone to the feast.  Yes, Jesus was there in the feast, and he had done great things, Miracles there. The people of Galilee were there, and they saw. The Samaritans believed in Jesus, not because of someone's else story, but because they have heard him speak things. The like of which they had never heard. The galileans believed in him, not because someone has told them about him, but because they have seen him do in Jerusalem, things the like of which they have not, or never seen. The galileans had gone to Jerusalem because it is commanded in Deuteronomy 16:16, that three times in a year all thier males must appear before the Lord thier God in the place which he chose, that is the temple in Jerusalem. At the Feast of the unleavened bread and at the Feast of weeks and at the Feast of the Tabernac...

John 4:43,44

Today's verse is from John 4, 43, and 44.  After two days, he departed from Galilee. For, Jesus himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own Hometown. Jesus was in Samaria for two days and preached the gospel. There would have been great joy in the town. After Jesus, it was Philip, who went to Samaria. In Acts 8:5-8 we see [5] Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Christ. [6] And the crowds with one accord paid attention to what was being said by Philip, when they heard him and saw the signs that he did. [7] For unclean spirits, crying out with a loud voice, came out of many who had them, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed. [8] So there was much joy in that city. There is Joy in a city where the gospel is preached. Hallelujah, hallelujah. Philip, preached the gospel signs and wonders happed, the Samaritans believed, and they were baptized in water, and later they received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah! Jesus tes...

John 4:42

Praise the Lord! Today's verse is from John 4, 42.  They said to the woman. It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves. We know that this is indeed the savior of the world.  The Samaritans are saying to the woman that it is no longer your testimony that made us to believe in Christ, but we have heard him. We have believed in him. We have had a personal experience. That is to say, we have tasted him in our life. The Bible says. In Psalms 34;8, O taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is the man that trusts in him.  We may have heard about Jesus, but have you received him as your personal savior in your life? This is a personal experience. This is one of the performed statement ever made that Jesus is the savior of the world. It came from the lips of the Samaritans. It is only in 1st John 4, 14. We find this tremendous title it says we have seen and testified that the father has sent his son to be the savior of the world....
