John 4:25
Praise the Lord. Today's words is from. John 4th, chapter 25th verse.
The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things.”
The Greek word for Messiah is Christos, from which Christ the name English name comes. The Samaritans were waiting for the Messiah, so were the Jews. We see in Matthew 16 chapter. Peter, declaring Jesus as the Messiah. Jesus asked his disciples, who do people say that the son of man is? They said different things. But then he asked this question to the disciples, he said to them. But what do you say that I am? And Simon, Peter, answered. You are the Christ, the son of living God. How did Peter know that Jesus is the Messiah, the Christ, the son of the Living God. We have to see how it all started. John's gospel first chapter 35th verse onwards we see that John the Baptist introduced Jesus to his disciples and two of his disciples followed him, and one of them was Andrew, and he was Simon Peter's brother. And he first found Simon Peter and then said to him, we have found the Messiah, which is translated as Christ and he brought him to Jesus. This was the first time he saw Jesus at that time itself. He was introduced him as Messiah.
We see from this that Jesus revealed himself as a messiah to many of his disciples and this place we see that Jesus reveals himself as Messiah to this Samaritan woman. God wants to reveal to you who he is.
