John 3:30

Praise the Lord. Today's verse is John 3:30.

He must increase. But I must decrease.

The greatest desire of John, the Baptist was Jesus must increase. And he  John, the Baptist must decrease in his popularity. This should be the desire in our lives, also that Jesus should increase in our life, and we must decrease, Here, we see the humility of John, the Baptist God wants us to be humble in our lives.

In the gospel of Matthew, we read in Matthew, 20:20, the mother of James, and John had a request to Jesus that her sons may sit on the right and left of Jesus in His Kingdom. Hearing this, the other disciples became indignant with the two brothers. Jesus called his disciples to him and said

You know that the rulers of the Gentiles Lord it over them and their great man exercise authority over them. It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you  shall be your servant and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave, Just as the son of man, did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life a Ransom for many. We have to follow this example in our life that Jesus came to serve and not to be served.

James says in James 4:10, humble yourself in the presence of the Lord, and he will exalt you.

let us examine ourselves. Are we humble in our life or do we have pride in our life? Let's look to God in prayer. Heavenly Father, I thank you for this day of God.

Thank you for your grace Lord. As John the Baptist said, Lord help us to humble ourselves and say Jesus, you have to increase in our life and I have to decrease. Let us commit ourselves to God. Heavenly Father, I thank you for this day. Once again, I commit myself into your hands of God. I commit each one of us into your hands. Help us to be humble in Jesus name I pray. Amen. God bless you.
