The call of God
“But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”
Isaiah 43:1-2 ESV

But now. After Isreal went through difficult times. Chapter 42 starts with prophesy on Jesus 1-9 then a new song 10-17  Isreal’s failure to see and hear God 18-25
You might be going through a tough time in life God is giving this promise to you.

He created you O Jacob.
Man  was created from dust Gen 2:7
Heb 2:7 God made him little lower than the angels but he crowned him with glory and honour Angels were made from precious stones Ezekiel 28:13.
We lost that glory by disobedience.

“then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.”
Genesis 2:7 ESV

“You made him for a little while lower than the angels; you have crowned him with glory and honor,”
Hebrews 2:7 ESV

“You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, emerald, and carbuncle; and crafted in gold were your settings and your engravings. On the day that you were created they were prepared.”
Ezekiel 28:13 ESV

He has formed you O Isreal.
After God created Jacob , he formed him and named him Israel . Jacob means sub planter. Israel means prince.
History of Jacob.
You are being formed by God

“Then he said, "Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed."”
Genesis 32:28

Fear not I have redeemed you.
Fear not comes 365 times in the Bible. One for each day.
The mortgage of gold.
Jesus has redeemed us by his precious blood.

I have called you by name you are mine.
He knows your name

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.”
John 15:16 ESV
“To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.”
John 10:3 ESV
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
John 10:27 ESV

The call to salvation. The greatest thrill or miracle that any human being can experience in this life is to become a child of God. To move from the kingdom of darkness into Gods marvellous light exceeds any human joy. God is calling people to salvation., for he is not willing that any should perish.

My testimony of salvation.
Song.

The call to service.  Jesus becomes our Lord when we are saved and we become his servant and pattern our attitudes and action after his. He has called us to serve.
He showed us by his example of washing the feet of Jesus.
This was the job of the least slave.
He also calls us to a ministry of reconciliation, of sharing our salvation experience with those who have not believed.
God has the Best interests of the body he brought , therefore he gives gift for service to each person. Holy spirit gives these gifts to each person according to Sovereign will, that is as he determines. Then, as each person uses whatever gift he receives to serve others.
The call to special ministry.
Ephesians 4:11
These specially called ones serve to extend the gospel, communicate divine revelation, stir believers into action, nature the faith of those who respond to the gospel , and develop sound teaching that establishes them in faith

And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers,”
Ephesians 4:11 ESV

Many examples of Gods call are there in the Bible.
Example of the call of Peter.
Luke 4:31 to 5:11.
Peter goes to his church one Sunday and sees a miracle. A man who was demon posed was delivered. He saw the authority of Jesus words.
Today the remains of the synagogue is still there.
He came to Peters house and his mother-in-law was down with fever Jesus stood over her and he rebuked the fever. She immediately arose and ministered unto them.
Peter saw a miracle in his house.
Jesus came to the work place of Peter. It was the lake of Gennesaret also called the sea of galalie After speaking from his boat to the people. Peter had spent the night with all his fishing skills and caught nothing. Jesus tells him launch out into the deep and let down your net for a catch. Peter obeyed and caught a great multitude of fish.
Seeing the miracle at his church and his house and in his work place peter said depart from me I am a sinful man.
Jesus said fear not from now I will make you fishers of men.
peters response was he forsook all and followed him.

He did not say I will do fishing and sponsor your ministry.

When we follow Jesus there will, be trails but he promises to be with you.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.
Testimony of Mariam’s first operation.

through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you. KJV overflow you.
When the Israel people came to the promised land the first obstacle they faced was the Jordan river.

“So when the people broke camp to cross the Jordan, the priests carrying the ark of the covenant went ahead of them. Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge, the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zarethan, while the water flowing down to the Sea of the Arabah (that is, the Dead Sea) was completely cut off. So the people crossed over opposite Jericho.”
Joshua 3:14-16 NIV

When a train passes at the level crossing the vehicles pile up on either side.

Mariam’s second testimony.

When Elijah crossed the Jordan he smote the river and the river stoped flowing when Elisha came back the same way God did the same miracle.

when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”

We see in the 3rd chapter of Daniel
“King Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold, whose height was ninety feet and its breadth nine feet . He set it up on the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.”
Daniel 3:1
All were commanded to bow before this statue if not they will be put into the fiery furnace
Three Hebrew people Shadrach Meshach and Abed Nego did not bow before the statue.
They were brought before the king.
When the king asked if you do not bow to this image I will put you into this burning furnace and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands.
This was their answer.
“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up."” A
Daniel 3:16-18 ESV
Our worship is not based on God delivering us or not. It is based on the relationship with God. We don’t care if God delivers or not.
Faith is not believing the ability of God ( even Satan believes ) faith is trusting in the sovereignty of God.
Even if BJP form a government in the centre we still trust in the sovereignty of our God.
They were put into that furnace heated seven times more.
In the midst of the fire there was th forth man walking and speaking to them.
Today If you are going though a fiery situation there is a God walking with you.
The operation in 2010.

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 8:35, 37-39 ESV
