Names of God.
1Ch 16:10 Glory you in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD.
King David after becoming king he brings the ark of the Lord into the city of Jerusalem and prays that his glory is in the name of the Lord.
He says in psalm 20:7
Psa 20:7 Some boast in chariots, others in horses; but we will boast in the name of the LORD our God.
He knew the power in the name of the Lord.
When he faced the Goliath in his life this is what he said
1Sa 17:45 Then David told the Philistine, “You come at me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of the Heavenly Armies, the God of the armies of Israel whom you have defied.
He was able to defeat Goliath by the strength of God.
King Solomon said this about the name of the Lord.
Pro 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runs into it, and is safe.
